Fender vents, what is the purpose?

The main purpose of fender vents is to relieve built-up air pressure from inside the wheel arches which causes lift. Relieving high pressure built up in the wheel arches reduces front axle lift thus increasing safety and efficiency of the vehicle. These vents also function to exhaust hot air built up from heavy braking
